With most participants dressed in black to mourn so many losses in the past five years, we marched in procession along a busy thoroughfare between the bay and a Lagoon in Monterey. The weather was beautiful, and we received much support in the form of honks from passing motorists.

At least two of the local TV stations covered the event.

Afterwords, some clergy, politicians, and a variety of spokespeople gave brief speeches around the war's impact and efforts to stop it.
