Event Report
Press CoverageBy:Margaret Nielsen
People gathered at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon, March 19th with signs and banners at benches along South Cedar Street, just south of downtown Lansing, demanding an end to the war and occupation of Iraq - and counting the awful cost of this war. About 100 people were there over the two hours of the vigil. Many drivers and honked and waved in support. Vigilers included a family whose son had killed himself after returning from multiple deployments in Iraq. They spoke to the press, indicating that they are speaking out in memory of their son and brother. | ||||
