Event Report
Press CoverageBy:delphine herbert
Activists, young and old, newbies and old timers, came to the Ocala Town Square to mourn the losses to our country, to Iraq and to the world. Marions for Peace(this is Marion County, Florida) wound up rededicating ourselves to try harder to expand our influence to the youth as well as to minority and religious groups. After songs and a mediation, we moved to the the highway for an exuberant street protest, a number of us later repairing to Harry's on the Square. Some of us felt as exhilerated as we did in January of 2003 when we first gathered at the same site. That evening we were 75 in number. The Ocala Star Banner included us with a pix from last year in a front page story that morning they titled the "price of war." | ||||
