Live Broadcast of Iraq Veterans' testimony in Winter Soldier Hearings from Washington, D.C.

City Councilor Marjorie Decker, Singer Ben Tousley, veterans and others will join us for all day viewing of Washington testimony, outside public demonstration, AFSC's Cost of War exhibit and a meal together.

On Saturday, March 15, 2008, local antiwar organizations are gathering during the day to participate in an historic event. We will watch the Winter Soldier testimonies -- "Eyewitness Accounts of the Occupations"-- broadcast live from Washington, D.C. by Iraq Veterans Against the War. This will be a day to hear soldiers' perspectives on the war and respond to the call of Iraq Veterans Against the War to bring all the troops home now.

Tentative Schedule for the day
(adjustments will be needed depending on schedule modifications of the hearings in DC)

10am - noon: Gather inside the church hall to view testimony being given in Washington followed by discussion

12:30pm: Reflections from an Iraq vet

12:45pm: Solemn march on the sidewalk through Harvard Square

1:45pm: Brief address from Cambridge City Councilor Marjorie Decker

2:00pm - 3:30pm: Resume viewing of live broadcast of vets testimony in Washington followed by discussion

3:45pm: Ben Tousley, topical folk and popular songs

4:00pm - 6pm: Resume viewing of live broadcast of vets testimony in Washington

6:00 - 7:30pm: common meal/discussion and socializing (food provided)
