Candlelight Vigil - 5 Years Too Many

Event Description:A candlelight vigil will be held on Wednesday, March 19th, the 5th Anniversary of the start of the Iraq War. There will be time for meditation, spoken and silent candle lighting, reflection and prayer.
There will be writing materials available for those who wish to use this time to write a note of support to any soldiers they know or who are related the members of the congregation, to pen a letter to any of the presidential candidates, write a letter to the editor, or simply write down their own thoughts and feelings at this time in the history of our country and this war. If you have friends or family currently fighting in Iraq and would like them to receive letters of support, please let one of the ministers know their names or leave a piece of paper with their names on the candle table.
The sanctuary will also be open all day for any who wish to come meditate, write a letter or light a candle. Children are invited to come during the day with their parents and draw a picture for soldiers or to write their own letters to the President, to candidates or the newspaper.
