Event Description:

Friends for peace will be meeting up at the Town Square in the heart of Jackson for a demonstration against the war and a candlelight vigil supporting the troops and remembering those lives forever affected by the conflicts. The meeting time is flexible but we will be there, snow or shine. The sun will be going down around 6:30, so the candlelight vigil will begin around then. I need more local's opinions on this event as I will just be visiting, however my girlfriend is a local. Please email me for suggestions especially if you know of local peace and justice groups.

Regardless of your political affiliations you owe it to the Armed Forces and the world, to show members of your community and legislators how you feel about the seemingly endless violence in Iraq and Afghanistan. Join us!
